The scores that are reported on the MTEL are “scaled” scores. Candidate scores are converted mathematically to a scale with a lower limit of 100, a passing score of 240, and an upper limit of 300. In this process, raw candidate scores as well as raw passing scores for the tests are converted to scaled scores.
